On the return leg of our road trip from Western Queensland we booked a night at the Roma Central Motel. Helen and Charlie are the proprietors here, great folk running a beautiful, new motel which is simply immaculate. With the current pandemic, COVID safe is paramount for the hospitality sector and their good planning is obvious with commercial grade sensor actuated dispensers outside reception and in each room with social distancing measures in place. The motel is located close to the Roma CBD as well as hotels and restaurants. We definitely recommend the Roma Central Motel and will certainly stay there again.

Roma Central is the best motel we stayed at during a recent long drive around western Queensland. The rooms are immaculate and the managers really understand customer service. They recommended the White Bull Tavern for dinner, just a stroll away and one of the best meals we had on this trip. When in Roma do as we did, stay at Roma Central!

Staged here for one night. We decided to book here based on all the wonderful TA reviews…this place didn’t disappoint! We got a one bedroom room. Well appointed, spotless, quiet and within walking distance to wonderful pubs, and cafés/bakery. It’s well worth the money. We highly recommend this place for anyone staying in Roma.

We stayed here recently for one night. The hosts were very friendly. The room was very clean & the bed comfortable. We were going to arrive late so we were texted the code for the safe to pick up our key. An excellent service. Surprisingly the traffic noise was minimal. Good undercover parking.

We stayed here twice for one night each on our way to and back from Carnarvon Gorge. Lovely and clean rooms. Perfect location easily walkable to the town centre. The owners were very kind and generous when it was discovered that I had made an error with my booking. It was entirely my fault but they were very understanding and generous. It obviously was not the most organised week I have had as I then left my expensing physiotherapy pillow behind ( note to self – place a brightly coloured pillow case on next time, not a white one!!) and they very kindly went to the trouble of posting it back to me. Top rate motel. Thank you 🙂

Roma Central Motel was the best accommodation I stayed at on my road trip from Cairns to Gold Coast via the Outback. Charlie was helpful, friendly with good tips. The room was super clean, quiet, great bathroom and bed. Slept like a baby. Country hospitality at its best. Highly recommended.

I am regularly in Roma for work, and our preference is the Roma Central. It is great to be warmly greeted at reception by Helen and Charlie, and the rooms are always clean and well appointed. Very easy after hours check-in, Helen and Charlie are lovely hosts and everything was beautiful and clean. We had a great size room with everything we needed including a good size fridge, microwave, kettle and other kitchen items.

“We spent three nights after travelling by train from Brisbane and return. Along with all the people we met in Roma the hospitality of Helen and Charlie could never be equaled right down to providing a foot spar for tired feet and legs. Room was extremely clean and even with the large number of tradies in the motel everything was very peaceful. Of course, the tradies knew where to stay”

We stayed here for two nights and didn’t have any problems at all. A good sized fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle meant that we could be self-sufficient for meals if we wished. There was a convenience store/petrol station across the road and a supermarket two blocks away. The main road went past our room, but we were not troubled by any traffic noise. Our car was also safely parked under an awning.
